Burton Peterson

Master Chef Burton Peterson has always had deep love and propensity for cooking. In fact, he has the inherent ability to make a simple meal look and taste marvelous!

Chef Peterson has been a fixture in his hotel and restaurant business for the past 32 years. He graduated from the Industry Training Program in 1983, but his interest and involvement in the industry goes further back. He is a member of the New York Hotel and Motel Trade Councils, and has successfully completed the Hilton Guest Satisfaction Training Program at the Waldorf-Astoria.

Chef Peterson's dedication and love for cooking is essential to his success. Starting as a busboy, and moving up to be waiter and then dining room manger, he is now one of the most localized chefs in the Virgin Islands! He has worked in renowned hotels and restaurants both locally and nationally, to include the Waldorf Astoria in New York, as well as The Buccaneer Hotel, Carambola Beach and Resort and Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino, all on the beautiful island of St. Croix.

Although he holds a part-time position with the Virgin Islands National Guard, Chef Peterson and his staff spend a lot of time catering to the needs of their clients. Chef Peterson takes exceptional pride in the work that he does and always goes the extra mile to ensure that his patrons receive the highest level of satisfaction and service.
